The muscles of the heart are supplied by the

Left coronary artery : -
Arises from the root of aorta
From the left aortic sinus
It gives off the following branches
1.    circumflex artery
2.    oblique marginal
3.    diagonals
4.    left anterior descending

Right coronary artery : -
Arises from the root of aorta
From the right aortic sinus
It gives off the following branches
1.    Right marginal
2.    Posterior descending

Applied anatomy :  -
Blocked by atherosclerosis causes ischaemic pain - angina pectoris - chest pain
Complete block may lead to death of the heart muscle - infarction
Ischaemia of the papillary muscle may cause - regurgitation of the blood into the atrium
Block is studied by coronary angiogram
